Cornhole Game-An Introduction

Cornhole, the game, is a great game choice for people of all ages.  It is a sport that does not take a lot of athletic ability but it is also a game that requires some practice and finesse.

The game of Cornhole can be quickly learned and the rules do not vary much whether you are playing singles or doubles.  Cornhole, the game, is played mostly in the Midwest, it originated in Cincinnati, Ohio, but it is also being played in various other parts of the country.

All you need to play Cornhole is a Cornhole board and Cornhole Bags.  The game is named Cornhole because originally the bags were filled with corn.  Now the Cornhole bags are filled with corn, sand or beans.   There are also Cornhole bags that are now filled with plastic pellets. You may have played other games using bean bags and Cornhole, the game, is similar.

The Cornhole Boards have a hole at one end and this is where the bag is supposed to end up.  The bags measure 6”x6” and are often made of a heavy-duty fabric like duck canvas.  Some Cornhole Game contestants are very picky about which bags they use and others choose to make their own.

There are very basic Cornhole Sets and there are specialized sets.  You can find sets that feature certain baseball teams or college teams.  There are sets that are made to be weather resistant for those who play Cornhole, the game, regardless of weather conditions.

Cornhole, the game, is fun for all and is a good choice for people of all ages.
